Entrance Ceremony for the 2013-2014 Seminary students

On May 15, 2013, at the Gakuin's [Seminary] Worship Hall, the entrance ceremony for the new seminary students took place. After the ceremony, everyone moved to the Gakuin cafeteria wher...e they had a meal.
This year there are 16 males and 18 females for a total of 34 seminary students.

Tench Kane No Kami Grand Service

The 2013 Tench Kane No Kami Grand Service was held on March 31, April 4, April 7, and April 10. Over the four days, Our Spiritual Leader, Reverend Heiki Konkō presided over each of the services as the Head Officiant. Many believers and ministers made a pilgrimage for the ceremony.

Event Information
Ikigami Konko Daijin Grand Service will be officiated by our Spiritual Leader Konko-Sama four separate times: Sep. 30, Oct. 4, 7, and 10.
Ikigami Konko Daijin Grand Service is our Founders’ memorial service, and the theme is to remind us of the importance of the Konko Daijin Service (Konko Daijin Matsuri) which had been held by our Founder himself when he was alive by accepting Kami-Sama’s request.

“As a person who is allowed to live between Heaven and Earth, I value the ideas of “Live together” and “Be helped together.” I am mindful of people who suffer from hunger, poverty, sickness and are socially weak. I pray earnestly that all people can live and be helped as Kami’s children, regardless of their nationality, race, or language. And I also pray that true world peace and prosperity will be realized.”

The Konkokyo Independence Service

The Konkokyo Independence Service was conducted by the Spiritual Leader, Konko-Sama, in the Grand Ceremony Hall on June 10th, 1:30 p.m. This Service honors the official recognition of Konkokyo as an independent religious organization. During the Service the appointment of new ministers was also conducted.
This Service was followed by a General Assembly on The Faith Movement: “Let Us Live a Mutually Fulfilled Life With Kami”
News of Rev. Sato
2012/6/26
Reverend Mitsutoshi Sato, the Chief Administrative Director of Konkokyo, passed away at 13:10 on April 29th, at the age of 62.
His funeral service was conducted on May 1st and 2nd. The Konkokyo Headquarters held a 30th-day farewell memorial ceremony at the Grand Service Hall on May 27.
