This year marks the 200th year since our Founder’s birth. Many worshippers came to worship in Konko Town on New Year’s Day.


In the Precincts of Headquarters, Zenzai (sweet red-bean soup with pieces of rice cake) and Omiki (sacred sake) were served.
And at 10 a.m. on January 2, Kibi-Asobi (Konkokyo Sacred Music Performance and Sacred Dance) were given.

On December 8, 2013, The current spiritual leader, Heiki Konko-Sama officiated a beautiful Memorial Service for those who dedicated their lives to Konkokyo propagation. The Ikigami Konko Daijin Grand Ceremony, commemorating the 130th Anniversary of Konko Daijin passing was held on October 3, 6, 10 and 13. Over the four days, Our Spiritual Leader, Reverend Heiki Konkō officiated over each of the ceremony as the Head Offician Minister. Many believers gathered from all over Japan, and the world to honor Konko Daijin.

On September 4th and 5th, twenty-five people attended a workshop for ministers’ assistants in the Konko North Wing building near Konkokyo Headquarters.
Following a speech by Reverend Toshihiko Imanisi, Konko Church of Minamiogaki, Gifu Prefecture the attendees had group and general meetings where they reconfirmed the importance of their roles as ministers’ assistants together.

On July 15, at the Konkokyo Seminary Worship Hall, graduation diplomas were given to the 8 (4 males, 4 females) Seminary students who entered into the tokka program, which is a one month intensive and truncated seminary curriculum.

On July 20th from 5pm to 8pm. getting together of children was held in front of Main Worship Hall at Headquarters yard. Children were enjoying goldfish scooping, Yo-Yo fishing, Sumo. Building-up empty can game, paper-rock-scissors tournament and Bingo game was held on the special stage.(2’55”)
