Faith Movement in Japan
“Live Life in an Interdependent (Aiyo kakeyo) Relationship”
The aim of this movement is to:
Become aware of Kami in our own hearts,
And through our prayers, dialogues, and actions,
Pursue a life that fulfills the divine wishes of Kami.
Let’s create a world of interdependence!
The first line reaffirms the relationship between Kami and People by which we, as human beings, are allowed to live within Kami's blessings and benevolence, and are given a part of Kami's heart. Thus we can embody Kami's wishes.
The second line refers to prayer as: (1) a practice based on the Kami-People relationship, and (2) Faith practice based on the relationship individuals have communicating and acting within society, as well as their perception of self and others in society. The intent behind engaging in prayer can be divided into two categories: (1) truth-seeking - in order to deepen one's faith and (2) missionary work - in order to save others. “Dialogues”, which were also included as a desired outcome in the "Let’s Make Good Conversation” Movement, are recognized to further human relationships and express Kami's workings among people. It is hoped that one’s actions will promote spiritual acts of kindness, such as in social activities developed in the "Let’s Make Good Conversation” Movement, and to propagate, convey, and manifest our Way of Faith even further.
The third line encourages each believer to address those faith practices in his or her everyday life, adopting the methods stated in the second line.
The fourth line states the aim of the Movement, "Create a World of Interdependence," through the cooperation of Kami and People, people and people, and people and all living things.
By each of us earnestly embracing and implementing this Movement, we hope to fulfill the Divine Will, that is, " (to) Spread the way of Interdependence (Aiyo-kakeyo) between Kami and Man."
